Ellen Rumley

Robotic Materials Postdoctoral Researcher

Ellen Rumley is a fifth year Ph.D. developing HASEL artificial muscles in the Robotic Materials Department. She is a National Science Foundation Graduate Research fellow as of fall 2020, and works in the Robotic Materials department as a visiting researcher. Her work focuses on investigating charge migration effects through HASELs and developing novel HASEL systems.

Ellen began her Ph.D. studies at the University of Colorado Boulder in 2018, where she earned a MS in Mechanical Engineering before moving to Germany.
