Haptic Intelligence Research Engineer

In the haptic intelligence department since 2017, I supervise and guide scientists on mechanical design and manufacturing. Make suggestions regarding materials, shapes, and tolerances for the design and integration of components.

Before joining Max Planck Institute I grow up in France and after a B-eng in 2004 (Maîtrise de Technologie et Mécanique, option Recherche, Besançon) and a public teaching accreditation in 2005 (Agrégation de Génie Mécanique, Grenoble) I work for 10 years as a Manufacturing Teacher in a French-specific undergraduate program (Brevet de Technicien Supérieur CPRP, lycée Dorian, Paris). In the meantime, I obtained a Master in Robotic from UPMC (Paris VI) in 2011 and then a Ph.D. in haptics under Pr. Vincent Hayward supervision in 2016.

My research interest is in designing new actuators and new sensors for building precise setups in order to better understand human perception. I do like working with piezo and fluids and considering materials and metrology constraints as a mean to achieve great setups.

Outside of work I enjoy reading Mangas, playing table-tennis, climbing and practicing analog photography.
